XTERRA Eco Team

The XTERRA Eco Team energized by GU is an athlete initiated program to engage the XTERRA community in environmental initiatives to help protect and preserve the areas they race in, and to give back to the communities that host these events.

XTERRA Eco Team athletes make a difference ecologically by offering a few hours of time to local environmental initiatives near the race courses. This includes anything from trail maintenance to park clean-up to ecological restoration to tree planting work parties. XTERRA Eco Team athletes love the outdoors, respect their natural environment and want to ensure that their great race venues are preserved for future XTERRA generations to enjoy. XTERRA race courses often cross private lands that are only open on race day. Behind the scenes, a lot has to happen to guarantee this access, and the Eco Team embodies a commitment to showing their appreciation to the venue hosts and the entire crew who makes the XTERRA experience possible.
